Was anyone else there? It was the one show of theirs I caught, and it blew me away...

That was one show I actually missed by an hour. I have regretted it ever since.

I never got to see them live. I just heard about them recently, from a quote in a book no less.

Too bad. They were a great live band to see. They put on the best shows.

I've heard a rather bad recording of the last show (or part of it, anyway). I never got to see them live myself, either.

I never got to see them live. Couldn't get an ID. First time I typed that I wrote "idea." I've had too much cough syrup, but I might have been right.

I was there. Playing cards flung at Whitey. Charly the Sloot (darn editors) getting choked with his necklace of garlic. (It was a Vampire RPG night) but no Mary Pickford Very memorable

I was there. My friends from college were given free passes or something to Mother, and so we hopped the train from New Haven down to check the place out, and ended up catching the Stiffs quite by accident. I was pleased as punch, needless to say, since I had heard about them in Spin magazine years earlier (and had subsequently been searching for them), and it was quite the pleasant surprise. Saw Charlie that night, and ended up becoming good friends with him years later.
